Eight year old Bea Wyett, the daughter of Ana BuFaye has never celebrated Halloween due to her mother's belief. Their life on the road doesn't permit such luxury. But forced to detour from their original designation they take a break from their life on the open road. To fit in the new school Bea begs her mother to allow her to celebrate it with her new-found friend Cara. Ana doesn't intend to stay in Beaumont, TX long enough to be there when Halloween arrives. Before the holiday is over Bea learns why her mother doesn't like the Halloween. For everyday is Halloween in their lives.
